Good day! I’m Kimberly. I’ve been in the hair industry for 23 years as a stylist, instructor, and platform artist. I specialize in creative design, men’s cuts, shortcuts, and color corrections. I’m energetic and animated, so children tend to respond well to me!

I believe in detail. The best cuts are carved to the hair fall and texture of each client. Beauty to me is the confidence, premonition, and actions of wonder blindly created. I love my career and I love my clients.

I have owned the Merle Norman Studio in Trussville since 1987. I have worked at several different locations, but now I am located at Kuttin’ Up Hair Salon. We have all of your skincare and makeup needs to make you feel beautiful. Come get your makeup done for any special occasion, too. Also, we now sell LiLash Serum to make your lashes thicker and stronger.

Lauren Thompson

Hey, y’all! My name is Lauren Thompson and I have been a stylist for 15 years. I hold numerous certificates, and I am always taking continuing education classes to keep up with the current trends.

My goal as a stylist is to help you feel beautiful and confident! My favorite thing about being a hairstylist is building relationships with my clients. I love knowing that when my guests come to the salon, they feel comfortable and know they are my number one priority. I specialize in color, but I am well versed in all aspects of hair – and I love creating that Instagram/ Pinterest-worthy hair that is beautiful and healthy!

Brooke Alexander

Brooke started doing hair at Kuttin’ Up in 2015 after receiving her license. She has a passion for coloring hair and making people look and feel their best!

Brookes specializes in multiple coloring techniques such as blonding, Balayage, and fashion colors, and she is also skilled with hand-tied hair extensions.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at Kuttin Up for almost 20 years. I offer unique highlight techniques and custom colors. I can relax or strighten those unruly hairs with straightening systems. Can’t wait for that hair to grow? I can offer you a variety of hair extensions. I am certified with several of the top extension companies. I offer I-Tip, Keratin, Tape-In, and sew in weft. I am also her for you on those special occasions such as weddings, proms, or just date night with Updo’s. Oh yeah, hair cuts? Got those covered to for the entire family. Hello, my name is Destiney, and I am the salon assistant!! I’ve been with Kuttin’ Up for a few years and I’m happy to call it home!! Braids, waxing, and blowouts are my speciality, and I’m always around to shampoo, answer the phones, and make appointments!!

I’m the makeup artist and skin care specialist at Merle Norman. I have been doing makeup for 10 years now and I specialize in bringing out your natural beauty for any occasion. I love doing makeup for proms, pageants, and weddings. I do skin assessments for all skin types and find products to help you reach your skin goals.

Daphne

Hi my name is Daphne. I am a Master Cosmetologist with over 20 years of experience.  My expertise is cut and style for men and women. Excellent color,  lolites, hilites service for each individual to bring out the best in each client. If you are looking for personal attention and guidance to achieve a modern, trendy, or classic look or an all-over makeover, let me know.

Other services include beard trim edging, mustache, brow waxing, shaping, tinting, perms, Updos, children cut and style. I also offer mobile service for cuts and color for clients who are too busy to leave the office or want privacy (cost varies on service and travel time).

Hello I’m Shonda. I’ve been in the beauty industry for 20+ yrs and I absolutely love what I do. I’m so excited to be back behind the chair and making Kuttin’Up Trussville my salon family. I am talented in many areas of haircare (cuts, styles, quick weaves, sew ins, braids, locs, shampoo and sets, chemical services and facial waxing). I service men, women and children and it’ll be my pleasure to serve YOU!
